Denman Marine ships kits and other products throughout Australia and New Zealand. Because many of our products are large or bulky, freight cannot always be calculated accurately at checkout.
Where shipping is shown as TBA, place your order as normal. We will find a suitable freight option and contact you with the shipping estimate before production with an invoice prior to dispatch.
If you would prefer to know the estimated freight cost before placing your order, please contact us with the product or kit you are interested in and your specific delivery address.
Kit freight estimates
The table below provides an approximate guide for one of our standard kit packages, measuring approximately 255 × 110 × 15 cm. These kits are packed in a large, flat carton on timber gluts.
Freight pricing is currently highly variable and can change considerably between carriers, destinations and individual shipments. These figures are indicative only and should not be treated as quoted shipping prices. Estimates last updated September 2026.
Final freight costs depend on the kit, quantity, delivery address, residential or depot delivery, regional access, carrier availability, current freight rates, and the size and weight of the particular shipment.

Please note: these estimates are for comparison purposes only and are based on typical delivery to major metropolitan areas. Freight to regional or remote locations may be higher. We will confirm the actual freight cost for your order before dispatch.
*Door delivery is not available for every kit or destination and will depend on the carrier. Depot collection can sometimes reduce the freight cost, with your order delivered to the carrier’s nearest suitable depot for you to collect.
Kit sizes and packaging
Not all of our kits are packed in the standard package size shown above.
- Smaller designs such as kayak kits are generally packed in smaller boxes, weigh less, and will generally cost less to freight than the standard kit estimates above.
- Larger kits, including designs such as PocketShip and the Teardrop Camper, may be packed as a larger strapped plywood pack rather than a standard kit carton. These shipments generally cost more and may have fewer carrier options.
Freight is quoted to suit each individual order, so we can confirm the actual cost once we know the kit, quantity and specific delivery address.
Receiving and unloading larger shipments
Some larger kit and plywood deliveries may require assistance with unloading. Depending on the carrier, delivery location and size of the shipment, this may require access to a forklift or similar equipment.
If suitable unloading equipment is not available, some carriers may require the customer to assist with unloading where practical. We will confirm any unloading requirements with you when providing the freight quote so that suitable arrangements can be made before dispatch.
New Zealand orders
All orders being shipped to New Zealand require an individual freight quote. Shipping costs to New Zealand are not calculated automatically through our website and will be quoted separately after we receive your order or enquiry.
Orders shipped to New Zealand may also be subject to import duties, customs charges, taxes, clearance fees or other charges imposed when the shipment enters New Zealand. These charges are not included in Denman Marine’s freight quote and, where applicable, will be billed directly to the customer by the relevant carrier, customs authority or other service provider.

Delivery time frames
Freight companies generally quote transit times of 5 to 15 days from pickup. This is an estimate only and can vary depending on the destination, carrier and current freight conditions.
We try to find a practical and economical freight option for each shipment. Some carriers we use do not provide online tracking. Where tracking is unavailable, we will provide the carrier and consignment details, and the carrier should contact you before delivery to coordinate drop-off.
Other products
Smaller products may be suitable for normal parcel delivery, while plywood, timber and other bulky items may require specialist freight. Where a shipping price is not available at checkout, we will contact you with the freight cost for your order.
Local pickup
Orders can also be collected from our workshop in Kettering, Tasmania by prior arrangement. Select local pickup at checkout where available.
